Biography

Nils was born in 1858. He immigrated to the United States with his parents, and his brother Olof, in 1878. They first settled in Ruthann, Iowa. Later, he filed a claim in Troy Township, Day County, Dakota Territory. He donated land for what became St. Ansgar Lutheran Church and cemetery. He passed away in 1916.
