Walter Marcus Lohr was born March 20, 1907 in rural Raymond, South Dakota, the son of Jacob and Agnes (Greene) Lohr.

He married Frances Hanson, a rural school teacher, at Bristol, South Dakota, on Oct. 12, 1935.

Walter and Frances had three sons, Jerome, Alan, and James, and two daughters, Sharon and Lynnell.

The profile says Walter died in July 1992 at the hospital in Watertown, and says Frances died in 1998.
